Kean Nakamura Berta became the OK Senior Class champion in FIA Karting European Championship.

Kean Nakamura Berta, a member of Buzz Driver Management Program and Alpine Affiliate program, competed in the final round of FIA Karting European Championship OK Senior Class held on July 8-10 in Franciacorta, Italy and finished in 2nd, for a come-from-behind to win the title.

Although he was in 2nd in the driver standings before the final round of the season, he maintained his strong performance from the warm-up session on the first day, while the points leader struggled in the bottom half. 
He started from the front row in the final but couldn’t make the good launch. Consequently, he was swallowed up by the pack and dropped to 9th.
However, with his natural stunning performance, he steadily moved up his positions and eventually finished in 2nd.
Besides, the result means that he came from behind to win the title of FIA Karting European Championship OK Senior Class.

He made the new history in the karting world by becoming the first Japanese driver to win the FIA Karting World Championship OK Junior Class last year, followed by becoming the first Japanese driver to win the FIA Karting European Championship OK Senior Class.

With this momentum, he aims for the winning the title two years in a row of the FIA Karting World Championship held in Sarno, Italy on September 15-18.
